Caitlin Brondolo would have been 14 this year, and we thought about children of that age whom we can help, while also spreading awareness about carbon monoxide poisoning. The Caitlin Brondolo Foundation donated flash drives & lanyards for the upcoming school year, new books from the Palm Beach County required student summer reading list, and personal items such as t-shirts, and socks. The Foundation also included carbon monoxide detectors for each of the Haven cottages and main room. We are proud to honor Caitlin's memory and to be able to help in our own community. We look forward to a long-lasting relationship with The Haven. Golf TournamentApril 29, 2011
The Caitlin Brondolo Charitable Foundation would like to thank you for your generous participation in our second annual golf tournament. Your commitment to partnering with us to educate others about the dangers of carbon monoxide is genuinely appreciated. We want to express our gratitude for your support of our mission; making sure that no family ever has to endure the heartache of losing a loved one to carbon monoxide poisoning. Your generous donations have allowed us to launch our "Safe Home Safe Baby" program at Boca Raton Community Hospital. In addition we have been able to give away CO detectors to other people in need through the local fire station and the Southeastern Guide Dog School. In addition, we are able to award an annual collegiate golf scholarship in Caitlin's memory. We hope you have had a memorable day and look forward to your participation in the years to come. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for making the golf tournament an amazing success while proudly honoring Caitlin's memory. With Warm Sincerity, Southeastern Guide Dogs: Donation Brings Awareness of Silent Killer to BlindMarch 4, 2011
While on the Southeastern Guide Dogs’ campus, learning to work with her new guide Lucy, Brondolo participated in a lecture on fire safety. It was then she pledged to help her fellow students and the other people who benefit from Southeastern’s services by providing every graduating guide dog team with a carbon monoxide detector. “Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, so without a detector, people would have no idea they were being exposed to this toxic gas” said Brondolo. “I owe Southeastern for the increased independence and mobility Lucy provides me, so we are thrilled to be able to give back what we can and if just one life is saved from our work, it will all be worthwhile.” Brondolo will be on Southeastern’s Palmetto campus on Friday, March 4th to present 100 carbon monoxide detectors to the school. “We are delighted that we will now be able to provide our graduates with further peace of mind when they return home with their guides” stated CEO Titus Herman. Southeastern Guide Dogs matches approximately 70 guide dogs with visually impaired handlers annually. While the breeding, raising, training and lifetime follow-up care of the team costs a whopping $60,000, the recipients of the dogs pay nothing thanks to generous donors and volunteers.

Fire Station DonationFriday, October 22, 2010
The Caitlin Brondolo Foundation donated 10 Pocket CO detectors to all West Boca Raton Fire Stations. Jill and Chris Brondolo, along with other foundation board members, visited Chief Todd Blake, from Battalion 5, in the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Station to donate the Pocket Co's. Chief Blake was thrilled with the devices stating that there has been an increase of carbon monoxide calls in the West Boca Raton area. All first responders will be trained on the Pocket CO, and the small devices will be clipped to the medical bags that enter each residence with fire rescue. The alarms will alert fire rescue of the presence of carbon monoxide allowing them to put on oxygen masks in order to complete the calls. Jill and Chris started the foundation due to the tragic death of their daughter, Caitlin, from carbon monoxide poisoning in 2009. Chris Brondolo stated, "We are proud to honor Caitlin's memory, and help these first responders who do so much to keep our community safe". The Caitlin Brondolo Charitable Foundation is happy to work with KWJ Engineering, the manufacturer of Pocket CO in prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning. Nascar “In Caitlin’s Memory”Toyota sponsored a contest to design your own Nascar, “Sponsify Your Ride”. The grand prize was a prototype of your design featured at a Nascar race. Caitlin's Uncle Anthony designed a car in Caitlin's memory. Her car came in 25th out of 60,000 cars in total votes. Even though it didn't win it raised awareness to the dangers to Carbon Monoxide and the car represented the beautiful and talented young girl that Caitlin was. A great big "thank you" to all of our family and friends who voted for Caitlin's car. 2010 FAU Safety FairSeptember 8, 2010The Caitlin Brondolo Foundation was privileged to participated at the Safety Fair held at the Boca Campus of FAU on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. A raffle was held and two students received CO detectors for their homes or apartments. Caitlin Foundation Thanks Alyssa and ZachSeptember 4, 2010The Caitlin Brondolo Foundation thanks our friends Alyssa Stiepleman, and Zachary Winograd for their recent efforts to raise awareness about carbon monoxide poisoning. Alyssa made her Bat Mitzvah on September 4, 2010 in Boca Raton, Florida. Alyssa remembered her two friends, Caitlin and Amber with touching words in her service, and chose to raise awareness of carbon monoxide as her Mitzvah project. Alyssa also gave out carbon monoxide alarms at her reception. She is dedicated to keeping Caitlin and Amber's memory alive by continuing the mission of the foundation. Thank you Alyssa Steipleman! Zachary Winograd, is a lifelong friend of the Brondolo family. Zach grew up with Caitlin, and found a way to honor the memory of one of his best friends. Zachary chose carbon monoxide awareness as his Boy Scout Eagle Project. Zachary spent many hours speaking about the dangers of carbon monoxide to local residents, at our events, and to the press. He raised funds in support of foundation scholarships, and made a long lasting foundation tablecloth for use at our events. The foundation appreciates the love and support of Zachary and we are proud of all his efforts. 2010 Caitlin Foundation Golf TournamentThank you for making the Caitlin Brondolo Foundation 1st Annual Golf Tournament a success! Haiti Medical MissionOctober 2009The Caitlin Brondolo Charitable Foundation has made our first donation to help bring medical supplies to Haiti. Children in need is a big component of the foundation, and we were able with the help of Spanish River Church, to provide many children with much needed medical help. We were proud to donate for this trip, which hit a soft spot in our hearts as we realize the daily necessities that children in Haiti live without. Thank you to our sponsors and donors, who in Caitlin’s name, made this donation possible. Learn more about this mission at:
Single-Parent Christmas Dinnerat Spanish River ChurchAt Single Parent Christmas Dinner, a community outreach project organized and hosted by Spanish River Church, Caitlin’s Foundation contributed to a night full of joy for these children and single parents. These families had the opportunity to learn about God’s love. The festivities included a family dinner, devotion and inspiration for the single parents, crafts for the kids and at the end of the evening each child’s name was called and they were given a wrapped gift from under the tree. Touching the lives of others is the spirit of Christmas.
